When can I move in?
You may move in once your lease has been signed and your account is active. Units can be rented or reserved online, and our team is available Monday through Saturday if you would like help selecting a unit or completing your rental. If you'd like to meet and speak to the manager before renting a unit, please call or visit us between 730 am to 630 PM Monday – Saturday.
How much notice needs to be given before I move out?
All contracts are month-to-month. However, we do require a 7-day written notice before you move out. Your rent price is prorated the month when you sign the lease, you are not given prorated rent the last month when you move out.
What type of documentation do I need to provide in order to rent a unit or parking spot?
We require a valid government-issued photo ID (example: driver’s license, state ID, or passport) for all storage lockers.
How do I make a payment?
You can pay in person or money order, make a payment online through our website, or set up automatic bill pay and never have to worry about remembering to make a payment.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Money order, VISA, MasterCard, and Discover.
Do you sell boxes and storage supplies?
Yes. We sell various moving supplies in our office.
How do I know how much storage space I will need?
Check out our What Fits page to visualize your items in a specific size unit. Or call our manager, we're happy to talk you through your storage needs.
Are there any items that I am NOT able to store?
Liquids, explosives, firearms, ammunition, flammable liquids, toxic materials, and perishables. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding a specific item.
What are the facility access hours?
Customers with accounts in good standing may access the facility Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Do you have handcarts and dollies available at your facility?
Yes. You are welcome to use our complimentary carts to move in.
Are your storage units climate-controlled?
Yes. We offer climate-controlled units that help protect temperature-sensitive belongings from Buffalo’s seasonal temperature changes. They are especially useful for furniture, electronics, documents, clothing, inventory, and other sensitive items.
How secure is the facility?
City Space Self Storage is equipped with monitored audio-enabled video surveillance and is designed with security as a top priority. As one of the area's most secure storage facilities, there is no customer access unless our staff is on-site, providing an added layer of protection. Our clean, modern facility gives customers confidence when storing household belongings, inventory, equipment, equipment, and important documents.
Are rentals month-to-month?
Yes. Storage rentals are offered on a month-to-month basis, giving you flexibility without a long-term commitment.
What storage unit sizes do you offer?
We offer a range of unit sizes for household belongings, furniture, business inventory, equipment, and documents. Use our Size Guide or Space Estimator (link to this), or call our team for personalized help.
Are the units located indoors?
Yes, all unit types are fully indoors and offer drive-up access.
Do you have a loading dock?
Yes. A loading dock is available to make loading and unloading larger shipments more convenient. Contact the facility to confirm availability and scheduling requirements.
Can City Space accept deliveries for my business?
Yes. We can accept qualifying deliveries at the facility, helping local businesses manage inventory and shipments more efficiently. Contact us in advance to discuss procedures and restrictions.
Do I need to provide my own lock?
You are welcome to bring your own lock, provided it is compatible with our storage units. For your convenience, we also offer high-quality locks for purchase at our facility. These locks are specifically selected for our units and provide an added level of security.
What is the difference between reserving and renting a unit?
Reserving a unit allows you to hold your desired unit for up to one week without any obligation. No deposit or payment is required to reserve, making it easy to secure the space while you finalize your moving plans.
Renting a unit means you're ready to move in. At that time, you'll complete your rental agreement, make your initial payment, and receive access to your storage unit
